This is where tradition meets creativity, with every piece crafted from carefully selected materials. Nothing here is mass-produced or disposable. It is about slow, thoughtful making that honours craft, family and sustainability.

My fabrics and designs are often inspired by places I have travelled. African wax fabrics, Indian mandalas and other finds from my journeys are woven into the character of my work. Each piece carries not only the joy of making but also the colours and stories of different cultures.

I sew, stitch and create with sustainability at heart, favouring natural fabrics and re-used materials where possible. Every bag, decoration or keepsake carries the warmth of time spent, care in every detail and the quiet joy of making something lasting.

Grandma Makes is not just a shop. It is a reminder that gifts can tell stories, hold memories and tread more lightly on the planet.

Handmade matters

A 2024 UK survey found that 95% of people see handmade gifts as more personal, 80% value their uniqueness, 75% love that they support small businesses, and 66% choose them for their lower carbon footprint (Biggleswade Today).

That is exactly what I believe too: handmade means meaningful.
